Thanks so much for coming out again last night! It was great to see everyone. Welcome to Fernando and Lillian, it’s great to have you with us! We missed you Ruthann, and I really enjoyed your book I borrowed. And, here’s the recap:

Ross read Shana’s pick that Maria also enjoyed, What Alive Forgot by Liane Morriarty.  Not to feel like I’m missing out, I’m giving it a try this month. Ross also read, Matt’s pick from last month, I’ll Be Gone in the Dark by Michelle Mc Namara. Shana is reading it this month.

Ashley read two alternative history novels, Colson Whitehead’s Underground Railroad, The Black God’s Drums by  P. Djèlí Clark. She also read Ella Minnow Pea by Mark Dunn. We all had to admit that was the cutest name every, and the premise of the story sounds creative.  Ross is borrowing it this month.

Shana read The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin about Charles Lindbergh’s wife.  Maria is borrowing it this month.  She also shared Ruth Ware’s first book, In a Dark Dark Wood.

I read Ruthann’s Nickel Boys by Colson Whitehead, it was great. I also shared Gwendy’s Button Box bu Stephen King and Richard Chizmar with Lillian. Ashley is reading the YA novel I read, Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke. And Ross is borrowing the memoir, Maid, by Stephanie Land. I can’t wait to hear what you all think of them next month!

Maria read Shana’s thriller The Perfect Stranger by Meghan Miranda that I read last month. Her other selection, The Paris Wife by Paula McLain, was the sad love story of Ernest Hemingway and his first wife.

Matt’s book this month was The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruis Sagfron.  It sounds great, Lillian is borrowing it this month.

Lillian brought in 3 books to share; The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, Lost in a Good Book by Jasper Forde and Vicious by V.E. Schwab.

Fernado shared his thoughts on Wool by Hugh Howie, a post apocalyptic novel, set in an underground silo ,that sounds fascinating. He also brought in The Life of Pi by Yann Martel which I will never read because animals die.

Christiana read The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It’s been on my to be read list for a long time and sounds like a winner.

Again, so great to see everyone last night.  Thanks for making time to be here for another fun night at book club. See you next month!
