Happy November! It was great to see everyone last night.
I read Shana’s pick from last month, The Coworker by Freida McFadden, and Exiles by Christina Blake Kline. I also loved These Silent Woods by Kimi Cunningham Kline. Mariya is borrowing it this month.
Ashley read The Salt Grows Heavy by Cassandra Khaw, and Shy by Max Poerter. Also, right on time for Halloween, she enjoyed Sylvia Moreno Garcia’s newest, Certain Dark Things.
Shana (and Daisy) enjoyed Jackie and Me by Louis Bayard, and Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll.
Hugh enjoyed The Quarry Girls by Jes Lourey (I need to move that to the top of my stack) and The Last Days of Night by Graham Moore.
Mariya read How Lucky by Will Leitch, and Out of My Mind by Sharon M. Draper. She also shared Ban This Book by Alan Gratz. I will have to get my hands on it. I hope you love The Mixed Up Files!
Matt is still reading Ashley’s The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler. He also enjoyed The Wager: A Tale of Shipwreck, Mutiny, and Murder by David Grann.
I hope everyone can make it next month. I can’t believe it will be the last book club of 2023!
