The last book club of 2022 and another year of book club is wrapped up! Even with less reading time since November, we had a good amount of books to share.
I read The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom, and enjoyed Shana’s pick from November, 56 Days by Catherine Ryan Howard.
Shana read The Second Mrs. Aster by Shana Abe, and consequently fell down a rabbit hole of Titanic history….. that somehow led to Cocaine Bear.
Hugh read Dark Harvest by Will Jordan and The Nickel Boys by Colston Whitehead.
Mariya read on her kindle but is looking forward to more reading time later this month.
Matt enjoyed Hugh’s pick, The Far Empty by J. Todd Scott; also, two of mine, The Impossible Fortress by Jason Rekulak and Stephen King’s Fairy Tale. He shared a new one, The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip William.
Ashley read another one of Silvia Moreno-Garcia’s books, The Daughter of Doctor Moreau.
Christina read Emet by Fiona Mozley and is reading The Monk of Mokan by Dave Eggers.
It’s hard to believe the next time we get together will be in 2023. I hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year! I can’t wait to see what we read next. Until January, happy reading!!
