Last night was perfect patio weather to enjoy the courtyard. Thanks for coming out for a fun night of swapping books and catching up!

Ashley read A Curse of Roses by Diana Pinguicha, A Wild Swan and Other Tales by Michael Cunningham, and The Language of Dying by Sarah Pinborough. She also read a unique retelling of Robin Hood, Travelers Along the Way: A Robin Hood Remix by Aminah Mae Safi. Hugh is borrowing it this week.

Matt enjoyed the creepiness of Ashley’s pick from last month; What Moves the Dead by T. Kingfisher. He also read The Blacktongue Thief by Christopher Buehlman.

I enjoyed Maria’s pick from last month, On A Quiet Street by Seraphina Nova Glass, Shana is borrowing it next. I also read Kate Morton’s The Forgotten Garden, and The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel which Matt is borrowing this month.

Christiana has been enjoying Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto, but has had lots of other things to keep her busy this month! I can’t wait until the next time we can catch up.

Hugh read Jo Nesbo’s The Leopard, The Doctor and The Dinosaurs by Mike Resnick, and really enjoyed Bandits by Elmore Leonard.

Shana followed up the Aunties last month with Four Aunties and a Wedding, Christiana is borrowing it next. Then she went on a thrillers spree: Local Woman Missing by Mary Kubica, The Last to Vanish by Megan Miranda, and It Girl by Ruth Ware. She also finished Holly Jackson’s “Good Girls” triogy, Good Girl, Bad Blood and As Good as Dead.

I had a great time catching up last night. Our book club is small but mighty and the six of us still put together a great stack of books. We missed you Mariya, I hope you’re reading something great. I can’t wait to see what everyone is reading next month!
